In light of the horrible decision to elect Donald Trump as president of the United States, I compiled this list of just a few of the innumerable examples of black excellence in 2016. Remember that we are valid and we are here. We are strong, beautiful, talented, powerful people and no one can ever and no one will ever take that away from us. We have the power to change the world, and we can do it. Trump might not, but I believe in us. The time to act is now. Our feelings of anger, sadness and hurt are valid, but we need to channel those emotions into action. We need to be activists and remind Donald Trump and white America that we are not helpless. We are here. Winners don’t quit on themselves. #StrongerTogether
