the best part is she was originally going to spell it “Rice”
My auntie knows a family who decided to name their daughter Owen, but they spelled it “Oin” and they made her middle name the first sound that her big sister made which happened to be “Oogok”. her name is literally “Oin Oogok Puscus”
Oin Oogok Puscus is my favorite dwarf from the Hobbit

Stands up on soapbox, holds up this article like it’s the opening of the Lion King.
Y’all should read this because it is FIRE, but also because a post from the Time Lady Project was linked in this!
Historically, whenever young women are interested in a form of media,
we like to tell them it is bad for them and that they are bad for
liking it — unless the media goes mainstream, in which case it becomes
no longer feminine and hence okay. Novels are dangerous and cause
insanity, until they become classics worthy of being studied in college. Beatlemania is the province of “the dull, the idle, the failures,“ until the Beatles become a band that everyone loves.
Young women are so attacked for loving the media they love that it is
a radical act for a young woman to love something unashamedly. And
transformative fandom is the most radical act of all, because it
reverses that “lady thing to respectable thing” process.
Emphasis added. It’s so good- go read the whole thing.
so a few days ago i sat down for dinner and my mom handed me the camera with a strange look on her face. all she said was “you need to see this” and i was like ?? okay
but then
that is my dad with a pigeon on his head.
SO OF COURSE MY REACTION WAS JUST “WHAT?! HOW??? HOW” and APPARENTLY when my dad was outside gardening, he saw it land on the roof of our house. and then it just. flew down. and landed on his head
BUT NOW IT WON’T LEAVE
like the other morning i stepped outside to call my dad in for lunch and the pigeon was just sitting on the front porch watching him work
I was naked and for some reason not allowed to put any clothes on (I don’t really remember why) meanwhile everyone around me acted as if it was normal for me to be butt naked at work and ignored it even when I put my boob into their milkshake to get a reaction out of them
looking at a url makes a great difference
Your milkshake doesn’t bring anyone to the yard and that’s sad
Tell them thier face is cute n’ all but are they gonna replace my make up that I spent good money on???
So you me to tell me Nooooone of y’all would think ya mans gay?
So a man taking interest in a completely gender neutral thing such as make up makes him gay?
I’ve never seen a straight man put on make up. I’m not saying it doesn’t happen but it’s definitely not the norm of the average hetero man. So it’s completely reasonable to see a presumably straight man applying make up and assume he might be in the closet.
….Ok? Why are we putting sexuality to make up, I mean… men can just put on make up with out being seen as gay? Why can’t people be carefree and do as they please with out being put in to a box?
1. You are responsible for your own media experience.
2. There is such a thing as a healthy level of avoidance towards topics that make you feel unwell or even (in a real-life clinical definition of the term) trigger you – but you are the one to actively take care of what you view.
3. Avoiding does not mean policing others.
4. You have no right to tell artists to censor themselves – you may criticize what others do, you may dislike it, that’s fine – but actively asking for censorship when you could easily unfollow or block a person just makes you look incompetent in your use of the internet.
5. Do not give people on tumblr or /any/ website the responsibility for your emotional well-being. Because these people do not even know you so no, you have no right to ask them to take care of you.
